ONCE UPON A TIME…

there was a 1971 modified a-frame house, built by a man with a love for ships, hence the upside-down boat design. It was the eyesore of the neighborhood, the house that people would try to pass by quickly, with their head down and their eyes to the ground. Despite its dilapidated condition, it felt like it was meant for us. So although a home search wasn't in our plans, there was no question about it, we had to have it!

The original goal for The Beach Lodge was to create a home where our kids would gladly trade in their phones and electronics for bikes and paddle boards; where playing board games and hanging out with the family wasn’t thought of as torture. And for us adults, a place where the present provides all the extraordinary moments that we always thought only the future can afford. 

After 8 months of renovations (mostly lots and lots of waiting time for city approval), The Beach Lodge was finally transformed, getting the “Hollywood Celebrity” attention it deserves from every passerby. Multiple outdoors areas are designed for people to sit and relax in, either to enjoy moments of solitude or the company of friends and family. The rooms indoor are created to feel equally inviting, where you feel instantly at ease and lose all sense of time. The open floor plan of the living area is conducive to social gatherings, and offers sweeping ocean and island views from all areas of the space. The sleeping quarters are designed for relaxation, with the 2 (of the total 3) front facing bedrooms providing peek-a-boo water views from their shared balcony, and the ocean breeze lulling you to a peaceful state of mind.

The experience we've had with this home has been transformative, and it is our hope that it can do the same for you. It's incredible what a stay in our "never never land" can do for someone's enrichment, whether it's for 2 days, or 5. We've carefully curated The Beach Lodge to help you "be present" for family bonding time, or long awaited reunions with friends, or just with your own thoughts.
